The #NipClub's charity for February/March is the
Bilby Projects of the
Wildlife Preservation Society of Australia.
It is thought that the Lesser Bilby became extinct in the 1950's so now we have to work hard to save the Greater Bilby. There are only 500 - 700 of the Greater Bilbys left in the wild! In order to save the Bilby from extinction, there have been a number of efforts to create predator-free reserves in Queensland, South Australia, Western Australia and even New South Wales, with varying degrees of success.
