The Sapling Project is on a simple mission to plant and share plant saplings.

We don't aim at 'saving' trees. We plant them. With the rate at which we are progressing, it would become inevitable to chop down a few trees to make way for industrialization. We realize that. Instead of becoming annoying tree-huggers who invariably oppose any change, we decided to plant more trees - at least three saplings are planted and tended for every tree that's felled. It's in our control - we don't have to depend on anyone else.

The project gives away free saplings to every participant and he/she must plant it and take care of it for at least two years.
