BLOQ- UV active wear launched in April 2009 filing the niche for contemporary active wear collection with Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) 50; UPF is equivalent in ratings and capabilities to SPF for sunscreens. Founded by two South Floridians who exercise regularly outside, BLOQ- UV fuses fashion and function and guarantees UPF of 50.
Bloq-UV merchandise blocks 98% of UV radiation and provide comfort with flat seams to prevent chafing, moisture wicking for fast drying and utilitarian pockets to carry keys, credit cards, mobile phones and iPods. Styles easily translate for daytime dressing, and some also include elongated sleeves for hand protection.
BloqUV will have a booth at the 68th Annual Meeting of the American Academy of Dermatology - we're Booth 358.
