Collaboration Creates Prosperity." -- Lynne Twist, The Soul of Money

I first heard of the idea of a mastermind group when listening to CDs of talks given by Napoleon Hill. He said that you create a third mind when you bring two minds together. In other words, our capabilities increase when we collaborate.

Hill's book, Think and Grow Rich, outlines 13 principles that his research discovered was common to every successful person. One principle was the Power of the Master Mind:

“Coordination of knowledge and effort in a spirit of harmony between two or more people for the attainment of a definite purpose.”

More recently, Kathy Korman Frey discussed a similar idea at The Women Grow Business conference in a presentation entitled The New Sisterhood of Success. She said:

Five or more mentors statistically creates more successful people.

If you create a mastermind group (aka a group of 3-5 people), you can begin to share and achieve your goals. It's amazing what happens when you verbalize your dreams and desires.

During her presentation, Korman Frey asked the group to turn to the person next to them and share their goal. Then, the other person was to ask how they could support that goal.

How often do we take the time to do that in life?

Here's what I propose we do:

1. Partner with someone.
2. Each person shares goals.
3. Each person says what they can offer the other person in order to help them reach their goals.

Example: "Mary" said a personal goal was to visit Africa and stated this goal to "Kay." Kay had been to Africa several times and participated in a group that sent children to Kenya on educational trips. Kay will be putting Mary in touch with a travel guide in Kenya.

Let's have a conversation and make things happen.

If you want to meet up with people, have fun, and share and reach your goals, please come to this event.

The only agenda is sharing goals and then helping people find ways to achieve them.

PS: Please come hungry. Since there's no room charge, Teaism asks us all to order dinner and drink.
